Arts for Life! Scholarship Application
Deadline: February 1, 2012
Arts for Life! annually awards $1,000 scholarships to 25 graduating high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in visual art, music, dance, drama or creative writing. Launched by former First Lady Columba Bush in 1999, the program has awarded scholarships to more than 300 gifted high school seniors.

Eligibility:
Students who are graduating from a public or private school or a home education program in Florida in the Spring of 2012 Application Process:
Students must submit a completed application, a brief essay explaining "How the arts have positively influenced their life" and a portfolio of work in visual art, music, dance, drama or creative writing.

The Johnson Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarship aid to two different groups of students to attend colleges in Florida starting Fall 2012: #1 ~ to the children of UPS employees or retires who live in Florida

#2 ~ to students with disabilities who attend/will attend one of the eleven (11) State universities

Aviation Scholarship Available ~ Attention all women The Paradise Coast Chapter 99s is offering: (1) a $2,000 scholarship for flight training and (2) a scholarship for ground school/simulator training. The application deadline is March 31, 2012. Copies of the scholarship application and information about both scholarships may be obtained online at www.paradisecoast99s.org.
G Duncan Finlay Health Career Scholarships Monies for this scholarship program are provided through the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The scholarship is offered to provide assistance to applicants interested in clinical health careers that would be utilized in the hospital. Applications will be accepted from Sarasota County area high school seniors. Recipients will be selected by the Education Reimbursement Committee of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. Scholarship awards will be paid each semester directly to the student. Up to ten awards will be made. Each award will be up to $2,500 per year of the student's chosen program for up to four years. Completed applications must be received by the Education, Professional Development and Research Department of Sarasota Memorial Hospital on or before March 19th, 2012.
