CAMP INFORMATION (Grades 2-7)

  • June 17 - 21      8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $95
  • June 24 - 28      8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $95

The cost of the camp includes:

- instruction
- camper accident insurance
- camp t-shirt

Arrivals and Departures

Campers should arrive to soccer field every morning by 8:30 a.m.   Likewise each camper should be picked up at the soccer field at 12:00 p.m.  It is imperative that the campers be picked up no later than 12:15 p.m.

What to bring to camp

Each player must have their own ball, shinguards, and water bottle when they attend camp.

Coach Lynch is married and has a child who attends SCS. He received his BS degree in Biology from Palm Beach Atlantic College in 1982, and his MA in Education from Eastern Mennonite University in 2005. He also holds a Florida State Teaching License. Coach Lynch has been a science teacher for 26 years in the Sarasota/Bradenton area and he is currently in his 21st year at SCS.

Coach Lynch played varsity soccer four years at Palm Beach Atlantic College and captained the team three of those years. As a senior, he was the MVP of the Florida Christian College Conference, the MVP of the Palm Beach Atlantic College soccer team, All-FCCC midfield, and the recipient of the President's Award from the athletic department at Palm Beach Atlantic for the school's Most Valuable Athlete. Coach Lynch was inducted into Palm Beach Atlantic College's Sports Hall of Fame in the Fall of 2001.

Coach Lynch took over the soccer program at SCS in 1993. He is the all-time winningest coach in Sarasota Christian School's History, winning four District Championships, two Bay Conference Divisional Championships and one Regional Championship. In 2004, Coach Lynch made history by leading the Blazers to the school's first ever appearance in the state championship game. The Blazers lost to Tallahassee Maclay School 1-0. His teams at SCS have consistently been in the Top 10 in the state every year he has coached. In 2006, SCS was ranked No. 1 in Class 1A soccer for the first time in school history. This is the first time that any sports team at SCS has been ranked No. 1 in the state of Florida. In addition, coach Lynch has had the priviledge of coaching the following National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) High School All-Americans at Sarasota Christian School: Brent Yoder, Jared Ross and Kyle Lynch. In December of 2009, coach Lynch won his 200th game at Sarasota Christian School. He has compiled an overall record of 240 wins, 141 losses, and 39 ties (.618 pct.) in 22 years of coaching.

Coach Lynch brings to camp twenty years of head coaching experience from: Sarasota Christian School, Riverview High School, and Cardinal Mooney High School. He brings another 23 years of camp experience from: Sarasota Christian School, Eckerd College, Adidas Soccer Academy, and the University of Richmond. In addition, Coach Lynch holds his Florida Youth Soccer "D" Coaching License. Coach Lynch has also coached the U-8 for the Braden River Soccer Club.

Coach Lynch has also made several appearances on WWSB Channel 40's Athlete of the Week and SNN over the past ten years.

Rene Mirandilla
Head Boy's Varsity Soccer Coach at Manatee High School. Coach Mirandilla has won over 200 games at Manatee in his career. He holds a NSCAA national license.

A. J. Menard
Former Head Men's Junior Varsity Coach at St. Stephen's School. A.J. played collegiate Soccer at Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Florida. A.J. is the former assistant coach for the Boy's Varsity Soccer team at Sarasota Christian School.

Andy Anspaugh
Former player at St. Stephen's School and FACA Player of the Year. Andy was a four-year starter at Stetson University.

Steve Jaeger
Collegiately, Steve played goalkeeper at Eckerd College for 4 years. Steve is a product of the youth soccer system in Rhode Island.

Justin Weaver
Former player at St. Leo University. Justin played 5 years at Sarasota Christian School.

Brent Yoder
Brent was the first NSCAA High School All-American at SCS. He currently plays at Eastern Mennonite University.

Jared Ross
Jared was an NSCAA High School All-American at SCS. He played a season at St. Leo University and now plays for Eastern Mennonite University.

John Mendoza
John is currently an Assistant Goalkeeping Coach for the women’s soccer team at University of South Florida.

Kyle Lynch
Kyle is the first two-time NSCAA All-American in SCS history, and he plays with the U19's at IMG.
